| Users review: Grudge Match: Three stars (out of five) icons movie Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro (who last appeared on screen together in the 1997s COP LAND) star in this boxing movie on the old boxing champion who decides to have one last fight together, 30 years after a title match tiebreaker was supposed to take place. The film obviously could not have gotten ROCKY VS. Raging Bull: THIRTY few years later, which probably would have sold more tickets. As his boxing movie comedy drama is decent and what everyone should expect to get into (no more, no less). Stallone plays Henry Razor Sharp and De Niro plays Billy The Kid McDonnen. Theyre both boxers retired Pittsburgh each held the title and won a battle against each other. They would have a match tiebreaker thirty years earlier, but Razor resigned the night before the big fight. Kid has failed to fight for a new razor from boxing promoter named Dante slate, Jr. (Kevin Hart), son of the promoter who organized Razor and children earlier fights, offers a new match between two children during breaks sometimes. Razor is (obviously) not the idea at all at first, largely because the baby slept with his ex-girlfriend, Sally Rose (Kim Basinger), thirty years earlier before the fight is stopped. Due to financial difficulties Razor is committed to the fight. Alan Arkin also co-stars in the film as the old razors and coach Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead fame) plays baby son (and Sally) he never knew.The film is full of all your usual cliches? S and drama cheese, but it is fun and enjoyable. If you do not want to see a boxing match between Rocky and Raging Bull, some thirty years later, that this is not the movie for you, but I love the gift e of it and got what I paid. Stallone and De Niro are both good in the film (and looked like they had a lot of fun doing it) and the support team is decent. Peter Segal (who also directed movies like TOMMY BOY, Anger Management, 50 First Dates and GET SMART) is a staging of decent jobs and the script (by Doug Ellin, hands) Tim Kelleher and Rodney Rothman.
