| Users review: The Wind Rises is a fictional biography / character study Hirikoshi Jiro and his story to an aeronautical engineer. This movie had a big impact on me after seeing in the theater, and I like what I afterwards an hour drive home had thought. In terms of pacing and how the film focuses on the main character, I was reminded of David Lean films in his maturity and emotional grain. There were also times when just that I thought to myself: I've never ever seen hand-drawn animation this good and will probably never see, animation and never. The character designs are beautiful. The background and color palette are beautiful. The animation is stunning. But the story is as beautiful as the artwork. The film is about the journey of a man to create beautiful aircraft, but is also equally tragic in later scenes of the film in the developing love story and especially the last scene in the movie movie.This will not at any time through dialogue what the character is explain the feeling, but it shows you the subtle and sometimes strong emotions that the glue that holds together his story. Some people may wonder why Miyazaki took creative risks. With the real life story of Jiro Hirikoshi Real life Jiro never married a woman with tuberculosis. Did he really fantasize about building airplanes? Was he really pursued by a Soviet spy? I think the way the character fantasizes about aircraft, even if it is not to dream of a fair representation of how creative people like Hayao Miyazaki Porco Rosso think.Along with Hayao Miyazaki's most personal film.
