Users review: I saw this movie with a kind of deliciously tender curiosity. It was excessive and exaggerated, as expected from a production of Baz Luhrmann. Leonardo DiCaprio made his Gatsby (Spor old!) Keeping a sense of familiarity. Script was a faithful adaptation, and even helped me to understand some of the themes of the novel more clearly. And while you would think that dubstep feel during the Jazz will be games, soundtrack worked very well.but I can not love it. And his (almost) Tobey Maguire as big fault.Gatsby dependent on the original story that is hard to forget all about Nick. But it can be argued, and often is, it was Nick and Gatsby who was the protagonist of the novel. Fitzgerald story, told from the point of view Nicks first-person narrative was as good as Nicks, Gatsby was just so great to see that Nick will way.Unfortunately, Maguire fell krejtë mately flat in his role guiding narrative. Always there was much at stake and so much to absorb that Luhrmann dreamlike landscape Maguire seemed lost on everything. And? to? So did the audience. Without a strong presence Maguire, Nick was relegated to a role as an interpreter of events to be just another character (and quite irrelevant , by the way). Luhrmann tried to keep Nicks frame narrative history showing? first as a patient talking to his doctor in a sanatorium, then as a writer trying to explain their pain through prose. But these scenes were with (at best) and exhibition hands or (at worst), as Maguires takes inspiration from a shortened version of the audiobook Great Gatsby.I wanted to love this movie calculates lens. I really do. I had so many wonderful qualities. But without Nick (Tobey only) to assist in the understanding of people and events, angry and half in love {it}, and very sad, I returned.
